Now that Atlanta is under the control by GM Beercloud, it's common to expect changes to the roster. Apparently the Hawks have been in discussion about trading their most valued asset, F Greg Monroe. A Western Conference team has offered a very favorable deal and discussion are entering the final stage.
With no draft picks till next year's draft, the Hawks are in a tough predicament to improve whether it be swiftly or at a slow rate. Perhaps if enough value is returned, trading Monroe could set them up for a better rebuilding process. We'll try to keep you updated if any more information arises.

Hmmmmmm...... perhaps a rebuilding GSW? Would the Laker picks be enough to land Monroe.... would Tim even want the big guy? Portland maybe? But then shipping out Aldridge doesn't make a ton of sense.

Of course this could all be BS as well. Haha.

But, hey, thanks god. Wouldn't mind seeing him on a western conference team. Especially, if the Hawks get a pick outside of the top4 in return. Team would even look worse then, haha.

I was on the fence about matching that offer but it netted me Horford and Teague so it's one of the best moves I made.

Yeah, I have the Horford/Teague acquisition right up their with Love to CHI. Some of the best moves I've seen so far and both from teams in the same division - scary.

What site did you go to to make that Greg Monroe in a Hawks jersey?

Will be very interesting to see who gets Monroe if dealt.

Honestly, I always just search 'Player Name Team Jersey' and hope that it exists. Lol

But I agree, whichever team gets Monroe should improve, depending on how much they send back.

lets admit though that it was a major miscalculation by Daniel. He was confident that Monroe would be a beast in Single Post with his ability to draw fouls - even included a 1st rounder... few games later he told me that it was a mistake

DET shoulda been the team sending the 1st but I digress

Monroe isn't a defensive anchor but outside of that he's the ideal C on a contender. Elite offense + rebounding.
