2033 CSL Season MVP Rankings - Second edition

Luka is all smile now that he has overtaken Zion for the MVP ranking this edition.

^ 1. Luka Doncic (NYK) 33-14 WL
Previous: 31.6 PPG, 10.4 APG, 6.5 RPG, 0.4 BPG, 1.7 SPG
Current: 30.8 PPG, 10.2 APG, 5.8 RPG, 0.4 BPG, 1.6 SPG
Luka is back on top! Thanks to him the Knicks still on top of the East with a 33-14 record. His numbers fell a bit but still showing MVP stats so far.

v 2. Zion Williamson (DAL) 27-18 WL
Previous: 30.9 PPG, 4.1 APG, 11.3 RPG, 1.9 BPG, 1.3 SPG
Current: 30.6 PPG, 4.2 APG, 10.6 RPG, 1.8 BPG, 1.2 SPG
Zion's Mavs failed to keep up with the West powerhouses and have struggled a bit especially on the boards off late which could jeopardize his MVP hunt this season.

- 3. Michael Porter (CLE) 29-17 WL
Previous: 27.0 PPG, 1.5 APG, 10.1 RPG, 1.6 BPG, 1.4 SPG
Current: 28.3 PPG, 1.3 APG, 9.3 RPG, 1.3 BPG, 1.0 SPG
Porter has upped his scoring since the previous ranking but dipped in some other areas. That didn't affect his hold of the 3rd spot though.

- 4. Donovan Mitchell (PHI) 31-13 WL
Previous: 28.8 PPG, 2.3 APG, 5.0 RPG, 0.7 BPG, 2.0 SPG
Current: 27.3 PPG, 2.3 APG, 4.6 RPG, 0.7 BPG, 2.3 SPG
Donovan's scoring showed some dipped as well but his defense remains to be lethal in the Sixer's drive for the East top spot.

^ 5. DeAndre Ayton (BKN) 30-14 WL
Previous: 23.0 PPG, 1.6 APG, 8.7 RPG, 2.9 BPG, 0.2 SPG
Current: 24.5 PPG, 2.0 APG, 10.0 RPG, 3.1 BPG, 0.4 SPG
Ayton rises up the ranking, obviously consequent with the rise of the Nets as well. He's getting close to his averages last season and could be just a matter of time to be in top conversation for top individual honor once again.

v 6. Grant Williams (MIL) 29-17 WL
Previous: 22.1 PPG, 1.8 APG, 10.4 RPG, 0.9 BPG, 0.8 SPG
Current: 19.9 PPG, 1.8 APG, 10.7 RPG, 0.9 BPG, 0.9 SPG
Grant has been quiet off late and saw his scoring fell some. Milwaukee is still having a wonderful season so far and he is still the main reason for that.

^ 7. Jarrett Culver (MEM) 26-18 WL
*Current: 24.2 PPG, 9.6 APG, 3.9 RPG, 0.5 BPG, 1.1 SPG
Culver woke up from his early struggles and is now back from his old form, actually better with his much improved playmaking.

^ 8. Naji Marshall (ATL) 26-19 WL
*Current: 23.5 PPG, 2.7 APG, 3.7 RPG, 0.7 BPG, 0.8 SPG
Naji has been impressive so far and is looking to command a higher contract pay after this. The Hawks are still in the thick of the fight despite having injury trouble all season long.

^ 9. Kofi Cockburn (SAC) 35-11 WL
*Current: 20.7 PPG, 3.4 APG, 9.2 RPG, 1.1 BPG, 0.7 SPG
It would be a shame to not include the best player of the best team in the league so far. Number wise, you can say that this is not MVP caliber, but you can't argue with winning.

^ 10. Jayson Tatum (NOP) 22-22 WL
*Current: 26.2 PPG, 1.3 APG, 6.2 RPG, 0.4 BPG, 0.8 SPG
Tatum resurgence can't be ignored for so long. The Pelicans have found themselves fighting for another Play-in spot right now but might probably go on ahead if Tatum comes up even stronger after this.

Honorable mentions: Robert Williams (BKN), Karlo Matkovic (SAS), Victor Wembanyama (ORL), Nikola Jovic (CHA), Frank Ntilikina (DEN), Ky Bowman (DET), Alen Smailagic (TOR), Josh Giddey (ORL), and Christ Koumadje (POR).

It's a shame that the Nets and Mavs don't have a GM, as both of these teams have legit franchise players that deserve more attention.

It does seem like Luka has the advantage over Zion right now. Porter is looking good too.

It's amazing how many good teams there are. I'd probably replace Tatum with Matkovic, who has cemented himself as the leader of a very good Spurs team.

Hopefully he keeps that play up after he got it and not like his buddies Perry and Ball.

Unfortunately there's really no one to challenge Luka and Zion... ever. Well, Jovic should be but absent GM and probably needs more preference work to be right up there.

I'm not sure what we've done to bring Kofi down but after 24.1 points last season, I was expecting that or more but he's struggling to get near that. I guess with the development of others and his passing, he's not scoring as much which hurts him in rankings like these.

MVP consideration requires a team to be playoff-level, though. This isn’t All-Star or even All-CSL award
